2024 is definitely Charmaine Sheh’s year. Not only did the Hong Kong star win Best Actress for her role in hit TVB drama The Queen Of News, she seems to bring luck wherever she goes.
Earlier this month, a fan, who bumped into Charmaine at the Hong Kong airport, approached the 49-year-old, not for an autograph, but for three numbers to buy the lottery.
Odd request, but Charmaine obliged, offering the numbers 11, 19, and 36.
However, since the highest possible number in the lottery is 33, the fan split 36 into two separate numbers – 3 and 6.
She also bought the number 28, which is Charmaine’s birthdate (May 28).
The fan shared a video of her encounter with the actress online, and soon the post went viral with many netizens eager to try their luck with Charmaine’s picks.
Lo and behold, the fan shared a few days later that she had struck four of the six winning numbers in the Oct 18 draw: 3, 11, 19 and 28.
“The numbers jie jie picked all came out,” wrote the thrilled fan.
No word on how much the fan won, but netizens were nonetheless envious of her luck, as well as Charmaine’s ability to predict winning lottery numbers.
“Her words are truly blessed!” exclaimed one netizen.
Many also joked that Charmaine should start a new side business as a psychic, dishing out lottery numbers.

This is not the first time Charmaine has blessed a fan with lucky numbers.
Last year, a Malaysian fan won the consolation prize in 4D after betting on Charmaine’s black BMW licence plate number when he saw her filming Hong Kong drama Modern Dynasty Part 2: War of Others in Kuala Lumpur.
