Faye Wong Seen Fangirling Over Daughter Leah Dou At Beijing Concert

Chinese pop diva Faye Wong’s daughter, Leah Dou, who is the midst of her Out Of The Loop concert tour, had a very special performance for fans at her Beijing show on November 30.

Known for covering songs at each concert, Leah, 27, performed her mum’s hit ‘You Are Happy, So I Am Happy’ during the show.

Leah explained that Beijing, her hometown, holds special significance for her, which is why she chose to perform ‘You Are Happy, So I Am Happy’.

The song is from the first album Faye released after she gave birth to Leah in 1997 and is widely regarded as a song dedicated to her daughter.

Leah is Faye’s daughter from her first marriage to Chinese rocker Dou Wei. They were married for three years, from 1996 to 1999.

The performance must have been extra special for Faye, who was spotted in the audience.

In videos uploaded by fans to social media, the usually cucumber-cool Faye was seen swaying to the music and enthusiastically waving a light stick to cheer on her daughter.

When the lights came on during the group photo segment, the audience noticed Faye in attendance and many began shouting her name, causing the publicity-shy star to duck to avoid the attention.

At one point, someone jokingly yelled, “Faye Wong, stop hiding!” prompting her to look up, flash the victory sign, and smile bashfully.

Adorable!

Faye isn’t the only star who has been seen showing support for Leah at her shows.

Dad Dou Wei made a rare public appearance to perform with Leah at her Shanghai concert, while Faye’s ex-husband, former Chinese actor Li Yapeng, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2013, and boyfriend Nicholas Tse were spotted in the audience.

Here’s hoping there will be some special guests — let it be Faye, please! — at Leah’s Singapore show too when she performs at the Marina Bay Sands on January 18.
