Faye Wong’s Daughter Li Yan, 18, Posts Photo Of Herself Allegedly Undergoing Final Surgery For Her Cleft Lip

Being a child of celebrities isn’t the easiest thing in the world.

Imagine how much harder it is to also be born with a physical deformity?

But living with a congenital cleft lip will soon be a thing of the past for Faye Wong and Li Yapeng’s daughter, Li Yan.

The 18-year-old recently posted a photo of herself lying on a bed with her eyes closed and an oxygen mask on her chest.

There was also bracket on the bridge of her nose though it is not known if the picture was taken before or after a procedure.

It is said Li Yan has undergone multiple surgeries over the years to and this will probably be her final one.

Netizens soon left many comments of well wishes in the comments with some encouraging her to stay upbeat.

“Its so brave of her [Li Yan] to be so public about her experience,” wrote an online user, while another thanked her for doing so much for others with similar deformities.

However, some trolls voiced out that Li Yan has an unfair advantage in life due to her famous parents, and always had the means to get the best treatment.

However, many clapped back at her detractors with one writing, “If it weren’t for her [Li Yan], how many kids with cleft lips would have been forgotten?”

Due to Li Yan’s condition, Faye and Yapeng, who got divorced in 2013, set up the Smile Angel Foundation when she was born which benefits children with cleft lips in China.

Faye also reportedly sent her to a Swiss boarding school in 2019 to shield her from the prying eyes of the Chinese paparazzi.
