Two months ago, G.E.M’s stylist boyfriend was accused of scolding a security guard at her concert.
Now, it’s the 33-year-old singer’s turn to lash out at her staff.
Recently, a netizen took to Threads to share a clip they had filmed of a female singer during soundcheck from afar.
The singer was standing in the middle of the stage while speaking to the sound crew through her microphone.
She was lamenting how the reverb was too loud even though the crew said they had actually turned it off.
The singer then said harshly in Cantonese: “No reverb? Are you sure there isn’t any reverb? This is freaking ridiculous. It’s crazy.”
Netizens quickly realised that the venue in the video is the Guangdong International Circuit, where G.E.M ended the China leg of her concert tour.
Some netizens went on to chastise her for “hurling vulgarities” at her staff though others argued that what she said does not actually count as cussing.
It’s also said that the entire production team is from Hong Kong, which explained why she was conversing with them in Cantonese.
Well, maybe she was just having a bad day?
