While Orchard Road naturally comes to mind when you want to soak in the festive spirit, some Singaporeans get creative with their own Christmas decorations as well.
In a video shared on TikTok by netizen Lhjeugene, he spotted a giant inflatable Santa Claus hanging from (or is it climbing onto?) a balcony.
A quick check showed the comical-looking decoration was being sold at $66 on Shopee.
It is unsure where the video was taken though another video revealed that this isn’t the first time the homeowners have displayed the hilarious inflatable.
The decoration is quite a sight in a sea of landed properties, and when lighted up at night, looked even more impressive.
We can only imagine the homeowners telling their guests, “Once you see Santa, you would have reached your destination.”
Now, before you think only landed property owners can afford to have the space for the inflatables, we heard through the grapevine that some apartment owners have also put these Santas up.
After all Santa only cares if you’ve naughty or nice and not the kind of home you live in.
