Chinese actress-singer Cheng Xiao is only be 25, but she has already been in showbiz for eight years.
She made her debut as a member of K-pop girl group WJSN at 17 and has been developing her career as an actress in China.
Some of her notable work include Chinese e-sport rom-com Falling Into Your Smile and drama Lie To Love.
Recently, a video of Cheng Xiao getting scolded by director Guo Jingming on the set of upcoming fantasy drama The Story Of Mystics went viral.
According to reports, Jingming, who shot to fame as the creator of the Tiny Times franchise, lashed out at Cheng Xiao as he thought she had disappeared from set for 20 minutes to change her costume.
The 38-second clip started off with him yelling: “Is he (referring to Cheng Xiao’s assistant) the director, or am I? Whose instructions should you follow?”
He then brought up how her co-star Chen Duling didn’t change her clothes even after shooting after in water.
“That’s what it means to shoot a movie. If you can’t handle even this little hardship, then go back to being an idol and sit in a Rolls-Royce, don’t be an actor. Being an actor is very tough,” he said.
