Heiress Wife Of Shawn Yue Accused Of “Stealing” Another Passenger’s Seat On Flight & Behaving Badly When Confronted

How angry would you be if someone had taken your seat on a flight and then acted like it was your fault? What if it was a window seat? And what if she had a crying child with her?

Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue, 42, has been married to Taiwanese model Sarah Wang, 35, since 2017. The couple has two kids, Cody, six, and Celest, three.

Sarah was recently on a flight from Japan to Taiwan along with Celest. It must have been one terrible plane ride as Sarah was later accused by a fellow passenger of “stealing seats”.

According to the passenger, who took to social media to recount the incident, she had booked a window seat in Business Class.

Upon boarding the plane, she discovered that her seat was occupied by a young girl.

A flight attendant then approached Sarah to ask for her boarding pass, so she could assist her in getting to the right seat.

Sarah was said to have looked up and said: “You’re telling me and the flight attendant with that look on your face. Oh, I’m in the wrong seat? I didn’t know.”

Celest then started to cry. “I don’t want to change seats. I want to sit here,” she bawled.

The passenger claimed Sarah then used a “threatening tone” to say: “If you insist on sitting at this window seat, my daughter will be next to you and disturbing you.”

Seeing that the other passengers were all seated, the passenger chose to sit at an empty aisle seat to avoid disturbing everyone else.

She later looked back at the incident and regretted her decision.

In her post, she revealed that the difficult passenger is a “leather goods heiress”, and her husband, “a successful, seasoned actor”.

Sarah is, of course, the daughter of Wang Dong Sheng, the director of Taiwan’s biggest leather goods company.

Netizens didn’t have much trouble guessing who the passenger was referring to.

They were later proven right when Sarah took to Instagram to address the incident.

“Regarding the matter of changing seats on the plane, I may have been negligent. I was simply afraid that my daughter would disturb other passengers. I neither had the intention of pretending that I was in the wrong seat, nor did I want to snatch the other passenger’s seat.”

She had mistakenly thought she was seated together with her daughter, and only focused on placating the girl. She also claimed to have hurriedly gathered her boarding pass after she was approached by the flight attendant.

“At that moment, I was afraid that the passenger would be pestered [by my daughter]. I asked if she wanted to switch seats with me. I didn’t say things like “if you insist” and “my daughter will disturb you”. We came to an agreement, so I didn’t think much of the matter,” she added.

Sarah also apologised to the passenger for “causing her unhappiness”.

Netizens did not buy Sarah’s explanation at all. They believed Sarah would have given up the seat if she genuinely realised her mistake.

“You said those things in the moment, and it’s common for people to [want to] switch seats on the plane. Are you taking everyone for a fool?” wrote one netizen.

Others also said that it was “Sarah’s problem to bear” should her daughter kick up a fuss on the flight, and that she exhibited “entitled behaviour” by making it someone else’s problem.

Here’s the thing: Aren’t all Business Class seats supposed to be good?
