Since winning the New Talent Singing Awards in 2002, Hong Kong singer-actor Deep Ng (吳浩康), 40, has had a fairly successful showbiz career, recording several albums and appearing in films such as New Police Story (2004) and As The Light Goes Out (2014).
In 2022, Deep tied the knot with model Margiela Kwok and welcomed their son Cheng Cheng that same year.
Since then, Deep has taught music, become a stage engineer, and even dabbled in F&B to support his family.
Last month, Deep announced that he has officially left his agency Emperor Entertainment Group. He now works as a construction worker, and proudly shares his daily routine on social media.
He recently posted an Instagram vlog, which featured him getting box lunches for himself and his co-workers.
He wrote: “What exactly is a site meal? Where do we usually place our orders and get our food? How much does it cost? What’s the quality like?”
The video saw Deep and his colleagues working on a site at Repulse Bay. When it came to lunch, he headed out to collect several boxes of food and drinks of different varieties, including stir fried pork rice, stir fried beef with bittergourd rice, and curry beef rice. Deep’s own lunch consisted of braised tofu, pork, and rice.
According to a menu shown by Deep, each takeaway set costs HK$40 (S$6.70). Pretty reasonable for a zi-char-like meal
