Do you believe in the invisible string theory? The popular online term is used to refer to two individuals who have crossed paths long ago, and thanks to an ‘invisible string’, find each other again some time down the line, making them destined soulmates.
Two people who believe in the theory is Malaysian content creator Jenn Chia, 32, and her husband, UK-born, Malaysia-raised singer-songwriter Jon Liddell, 33.
Recently, Jenn took to Instagram to write about her very first encounter with her husband, an encounter that both of them were not aware of until years later.
Turns out, Jon was captured in the background of one of Jenn’s selfies in 2012, two years before they officially met.
“We were at the same place but didn’t know each other existed,” wrote Jenn, who tied the knot with Jon last August after seven years of dating.
“We met at the right time. If it was before, I don’t think the relationship would have lasted. I was a narcissistic monster, unaware and naive.”
According to Jenn, it took her a year of travelling and being single to “reflect and realise [her] own mistakes”. And that was when fate led her to meet Jon proper.
“The right person will always find you at the right time,” she added.
