Is Apple CEO Tim Cook Secretly S’porean? He Correctly Guessed Local Food On Class 95’s Muttons In The Morning

At 1:22pm yesterday (Apr 18), Class 95 DJs The Muttons (aka Justin Ang and Vernon A) flexed their muscles.

Not literally but with a screenshot of a repost on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Apple Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook.

The Muttons had reached out to Tim to catch up over teh or kopi on their Muttons In The Morning radio show.

Long shot, perhaps?

Guess not as the Apple CEO responded by reposting their request and writing: “Sounds great, I’ll see you tomorrow!”

Considering the pair last interviewed Tim in 2019 when he was last here, and received an invite to attend Apple’s ‘Wonderlust’ event in Cupertino, California, can we say we are surprised?

“We thought since you invited us so many times to your house, this time we thought we invite you to ours,” quipped Justin.

We can only picture Tim comically looking around before responding, “It is great to be here, and it is a marvellous studio.”

“Everybody should come down and visit,” Tim hilariously added.

The Apple CEO went on to share what he had been up to in the last 24 hours, which included meeting local photographer-influencer Lee Yik Keat aka YK at Gardens by the Bay as well as the opening of the new Apple Developer Center at Fusionopolis.

Considering his busy schedule yesterday and habit of waking up at 4am, the dude still sounds wide awake at this point.

Of course, what piqued our interest during the 20-minute interview was when the Muttons played a game with Tim on how well he knows our Singaporean food.

He was given a few ingredients to guess the local dish.

“This will take years and years of visiting Singapore. All your experience to see if you got this,” said Justin.

But with the ease of any Singaporean, Tim breezed through the test with ease, correctly guessing nasi lemak for the first one

Tim revealed that the second one, which was carrot cake, “will be hard for Americans”. He then said he had it at Tiong Bahru Market when he was here in 2019.

But what really took everyone by surprise was how he easily guessed it was kaya when given the clues: pandan, coconut and, sugar.

Unless he had help from his aides, we are now wondering if the Apple CEO might be a Singaporean in disguise.
