Joe Chen Scolded For “Acting Like A Princess” After Criticising Restaurant For Not Allowing Reservations

After reading this story, we hope you’ll think twice next time you want to rage at someone or something online.

Recently, Taiwanese actress Joe Chen took to her Instagram Stories to criticise a restaurant.

“I came to this mala hotpot eatery that was said to be very good. They don’t allow reservations and you have to go down to queue for seats,” she wrote.

The 45-year-old went on to complain that even after making her way there, the restaurant insisted they could only be seated when half of her party have arrived.

(Um, isn’t this common protocol for many restaurants these days?)

“How arrogant are they? Is this how they make themselves feel popular?” wrote the actress.

Netizens were not on Joe’s side, with many condemning her for “acting like a princess”.

“If you don’t like it, then don’t go,” wrote one such netizen while another snarked: “You’re the one who’s arrogant.”

Other netizens soon brought up past examples of Joe’s bad behaviour.

Back in 2018, the actress was arrested for drink-driving. She later made a public apology for her misdemeanor.

In 2022, Joe was alleged to have gotten into trouble while filming in Beijing.

According to reports, the production team had booked out an entire hotel for the duration of filming and the cast and crew repeatedly reminded them to not smoke in the rooms.

However, during check-out, the cleaner found Joe’s room “reeking of cigarette smoke”, with cigarette butts scattered all over the floor.

The room was also a mess, and Joe ended up getting flamed by netizens.
