Aside from having a reputation as a super talented singer-songwriter, Shanghai-born star Joker Xue, 40, is also known for being quite the entertainer.

Joker kicked off his Extraterrestrial World Tour last year, and has since been charming his fans all over the world with his charismatic stage personality and interactive talk segments.

Last weekend, his Singaporean fans were lucky enough to get the whole Joker live experience first hand during his shows at the Indoor Stadium on Jan 5, 6, and 7.

Of all the clips we’ve seen of his shows here , the one on Sunday night stood out to us, thanks to a hilarious exchange between Joker and his fan.

YES 933 DJ Joey Tay was lucky enough to catch the gig in person. She managed to record the entire segment (watch it below!) and tell us here how it all went down.

It was in-between sets when Joker decided to chat up the audience.

The camera zoomed into one concertgoer, who was posed this question by Joker: “Do you usually ‘chope’ seats?”

Said concertgoer nodded, before revealing that he generally uses his watch to chope his seat.

“Your watch? Isn’t that a little too expensive?” laughed Joker, who proceeded to tease the concertgoer about chope-ing things with his, um, underwear.

Joker then abruptly brought up kopi-o kosong, requesting the same concertgoer to go buy him a cup from the food stand outside, but not before suggesting he chope his seat with his shoe first.

The fan obliged and placed his shoe and sock on his seat before running off to complete the errand.

Did he follow through with the task?

Speaking to 8days.sg earlier today (Jan 8), Joey told us: “Yes he did! He hobbled out after chopeing his seat with his shoe.”

According to Joey, Joker then asked the audience if he should wait for the guy to comeback. It was then that the audience asked for a refund of their tickets. In case you don’t now, the refunding of tickets for Joker’s gigs is a running joke for his fans.

The kopi-o kosong-buying concertgoer returned in no time, and went forward to hand Joker his coffee.

“He didn’t manage to get coffee from the stall, but he got vending machine bottled black coffee, which Joker drank a little from,” said Joey.

She continued: “Joker reminded the guy to wash his foot, and suggested that maybe he (Joker) could drink half the bottled coffee, and pass the other half to the guy to wash his foot.”

Watch the entire segment from Joey’s POV below.
