Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai is a huge dog lover and fans have come to know her two Bichon Frises, Woohoo and President, pretty well over the years.
On Sunday (Jul 14), the 43-year-old wrote a lengthy Instagram post announcing the passing of 18-year-old Woohoo.
The post also had multiple pictures of Woohoo, with one beautiful shot of the two walking into the sunset.
The pop diva described Woohoo’s passing as sudden in a touching eulogy for her furry friend.
“This parting feels so heavy and reluctant… Thinking of you now, I can’t help but cry,” wrote Jolin, who further said that “all that is left is [Woohoo’s] smile.”
Jolin reportedly didn’t know that Woohoo was ill and praised him for “being so brave to face the pain alone”.
“Mummy still wants to hold you tightly, hide your hands in your furry ears, pat your butt, and play boring couch-chasing games,” she continued.
Jolin went on to share that time took a toil on Woohoo’s physical body and he must now “go to other planets to heal others”.
“Leaving countless videos and photos of you as if you never left,” she said.
Jolin ended the post by thanking Woohoo for the conditional love over the many years and for “accepting [her] darkest side”
“Mummy loves you so much my baby bear. See you next time. My forever, forever, forever love,” she added.
Netizens left a string of comments offering their condolences to the singer.
Celebs including Singaporean singer Tanya Chua and Taiwanese actor Austin Lin were also seen leaving their heartfelt wishes.
“Woohoo forever! See you soon!” wrote Tanya.
