During a very busy couple of weeks for K-drama casting announcements, several major stars have been linked with a variety of series, including a medical drama, a major show taking place in the world of K-pop and a couple of romantic comedies.
1. Waiting for Gyeong-do
Park and Won will play Lee Gyeong-do and Seo Ji-woo respectively, characters who fell in love when they were 20 but then were forced to go their separate ways.

Years later, Ji-woo, an heiress of an apparel company, exhibits a public image as a troublemaker but secretly struggles with her husband’s infidelities. When those extramarital activities are exposed by none other than Gyeong-do, who is now a journalist, Ji-woo heads for divorce.
After debuting in a guest role in D.P., Won has seen her star rise quickly, with major supporting parts in If You Wish Upon Me and the second season of Squid Game. She is currently on set with Hyun Bin as one of the leads of Made in Korea.
2. Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia
Queen of Tears lead actress Kim Ji-won, also known for revered dramas such as My Liberation Notes, is considering an offer to take the lead role in the medical drama Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia for SBS.
