Korean actress Han Ga In, 43, is best known for her roles in Yellow Handkerchief (2003) and Moon Embracing The Sun (2012).
In 2005, she tied the knot with actor Yeon Jung Hoon, whom she met on the set of Yellow Handkerchief.
The pair later welcomed two kids, a daughter in 2016, and a son in 2019.
Ga In was a guest on the latest episode of Yoo Jae Suk’s variety show, You Quiz on the Block, during which, for the first time, she opened up about the difficulties she faced while trying to conceive.
In 2014, it was reported by Korean media that the actress suffered a miscarriage.
However, Ga In was going through a much tougher time than what was made known to the public.
Speaking to Yoo Jae Suk, she revealed she suffered three miscarriages within a year.
“The winter I suffered a miscarriage, I found out I was pregnant again. But history repeated itself, and I had another miscarriage. I had three miscarriages that year,” she said.
“I was absolutely devastated. My husband and I went through it together. Ultimately, we decided to just enjoy our lives together. After taking some time to heal, we gave it a last shot through IVF. Thankfully, we welcomed our first child.”
Ga In now dedicates most of her time to her children, saying her biggest wish is to “give them the best”, with hopes their futures will only be filled with blessings.
