Leah Dou Didn’t Look Too Comfortable As Fan Hugs Her During Photo Op At MBS

It’s not unusual for fans to get overly excited and affectionate when coming in close contact with their idols, but how much is too much?

Recently, Xiaohongshu user Si Si shared a video of her meeting Chinese singer Leah Dou at the Sands Theatre in Marina Bay Sands.

The 28-year-old is the daughter of Faye Wong and Dou Wei, the lead singer of Chinese rock band Black Panther. Faye and Dou Wei were married from 1996 to 1999.

Leah was in Singapore last weekend for her Out Of The Loops tour.

In the clip, Si Si and her friend were seen walking up to Leah who was standing in front of an MBS photo wall.

Si Si’s friend first whipped out her phone and gestured for a selfie with Leah but was quickly stopped by a security guard.

The trio were then told to pose for their photo, which was when things got a little awkward.

Si Si suddenly hugged Leah, leaving the singer visibly stunned.

“I’m usually very shy, I don’t know why I hugged her,” wrote Si Si in her caption.

Leah could also be seen holding her breath and pursing her lips — albeit still giving two thumbs up with her hands — until Si Si let go of her.

Si Si, however, claimed that she had gotten consent from Leah before going in for a hug.

In response to a comment that read: “Leah Dou didn’t dare move”, Si Si clarified: “I did ask her: ‘Can I hug you during the photo?’ and she said: ‘Can, can’.”

Good to know.
