Think back to South Korean actor Lee Min Ho’s memorable shows such as The Legend of the Blue Sea and The King: Eternal Monarch and you most likely gushed over his handsome looks.

But the 37-year-old is now facing backlash for appearing less than perfect in a recent advertisement for skincare brand Azarine Cosmetic.

We are not going to lie. The K-drama idol did look puffy in the 20-second ad though close-ups still showed off his porcelain skin perfectly.

After the ad aired online, netizens wasted no time fat shaming Min Ho with one asking, “Who is this uncle?”

Another was also seen rudely commenting, “He is probably all saggy now”.

Excuse me? We want to know how perfect these trolls look in person too.

While many of Min Ho’s fans defended his looks, saying: “He still looks as handsome as ever,” others blamed the cameraman for not capturing their idol’s best angles.

However, a few supporters also aired their concerns about whether Min Ho is being overworked and asked if he is taking care of himself.

The actor once revealed he suffers from liver problems which causes him to look puffy if he doesn’t get enough rest.

This isn’t the first time the K-drama star has been criticised for looking bloated.

In August last year, netizens also cruelly commented that Min Ho’s chin had “merged with his neck” after making an appearance at a beauty expo in Bangkok.

He also shared that simply eating supper the night before would hurt how he looks the next day.

However, he assured the public then that he would control his diet whenever he was working on a project.

Min Ho is set to appear in the upcoming drama Ask the Stars and recently wrapped up filming for the highly-anticipated movie Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.
