Louis Koo, 53, is known to be one of the most successful and generous stars in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry.

During the pandemic, the actor, who owns production company One Cool Film Productions, made headlines for helping his showbiz peers who were struggling financially.

Over the years, he has also donated to various causes, including funding the construction of numerous schools in China.

His philanthropic deeds and generosity have earned him the nickname of “showbiz’s benefactor”.

Last weekend, Louis was spotted praying at the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok.

Dressed in an understated all-black outfit, he was said to be thankin to the Four-Faced Buddha for the blessings he has received.

Not only did Louis hire eight dancers to perform a ceremonial dance ritual, he also donated  floral wreaths and six gold elephant statues as offerings.

Each statue is said to cost 60K baht (S$2.25K) and Louis’ name was inscribed on all of them.

Snaps of the star kneeling at the shrine have made the rounds online, with many netizens praising him for his sincerity.
