In a recent podcast with Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Michelle Yeoh, 61, opened up about her split from her first husband, Hong Kong billionaire Dickson Poon, 67.

The pair were married for over three years and divorced in 1992. Michelle revealed on the podcast that the split was due to her inability to conceive. However, they remain friends to this day.

Dickson, a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), is a Hong Kong businessman who specialises in luxury goods. He is the group executive chairman of Dickson Concepts, which owns businesses including British luxury department store Harvey Nichols, and high-end brands S.T. Dupont and Bertolucci.

According to reports, Dickson has an estimated net worth of S$1.6bil.

In 1986, Dickson split from his first wife, Hong Kong-based textile and apparel manufacturer Esquel Group’s chairwoman, Marjorie Yang.

They have a daughter, Dee Poon, 42, who is a graduate of Harvard University. She runs her own luxury brand and retailing company, Tessellation Group.

Michelle is close friends with Marjorie, and Dee is the oldest of the actress’ six godchildren.
