Local comedy icon Moses Lim died of ischaemic heart disease on February 11. He was 75.
On February 15, Moses’ remains were cremated after a three-day wake. The same day, his family took to his Facebook page to share an AI-generated “special farewell” clip featuring the late star.
Moses is survived by his wife and their two daughters.
“With the deepest respect for Moses’ memory, this tribute has been lovingly created by his friends, using AI technology. While the voice you’ll hear is digitally generated, the sentiments and spirit are genuinely from the heart,” they wrote.
His family also thanked Moses’ longtime pal and former comedy partner Jack Neo who created the video.
The pair were friends for decades and were the brains behind the wildly popular ‘90s variety show Comedy Nite.

“I’m very grateful to have met so many good friends in my lifetime. I am also thankful for my loving family, and for all the precious memories I’ve made. Thanks to everyone’s support, care, and love, my life was exciting.”
He also spoke of spreading love, encouraging others to cherish the people around them, and to live a fulfilling life.
“Good things all come to an end, and I’ll take my leave first. But don’t be sad. We’ll meet again in heaven. Wishing everyone peace and happiness. Goodbye, and may God bless you,” he continued.
According to Moses’ family, the late star had an “adventurous spirt” and he would have been “delighted in using technology in such a meaningful way”.
They are also comforted to be able to share his “familiar voice and infectious spirit” one last time.
“For so many years, Moses was not only our devoted father, husband, and grandfather; he was also a cherished part of Singapore’s heart. We were blessed to share him with the nation, watching as he touched countless lives with his distinctive humour and boundless kindness,” they added.
They urged Moses’ followers to watch the clip and remember him for the laughter and love he brought everyone.
Many netizens were touched by the clip, with some reminiscing about the times he brought them happpiness through the TV screen.
