Na Ying Falls On Variety Show; Cast & Crew Criticised For Taking Photos Instead Of Helping Her Up

If you saw someone fall, the right thing to do would be to see if they need help immediately, right?

That wasn’t the SOP for the cast and crew of Chinese variety show The Detectives’ Adventures S4.

Earlier today (May 21), the phrase “Na Ying fell” suddenly reached the top of the trending topics on Weibo.

Turns out, the 57-year-old Chinese singer had slipped while running on the variety show.

It was said that Na Ying couldn’t stand up after her fall and so she just laid on the ground.

You would think someone would rush over to help her up right?

Nope.

Instead, two of her fellow cast members whipped iout their cameras to take pictures of Na Ying up close.

One of them even said, “Let me take a pretty photo of you, okay?” while the singer continued lying on the floor.

The director also didn’t shout ‘Cut!’ and the camera even zoomed in on Na Ying for a close-up.

In another video circulating online, Na Ying, who was eventually helped up on her feet, was seen checking herself for injuries. She then continued on with filming as though nothing has happened.

While Na Ying was praised for being a total professional, netizens were unhappy with the way the crew had dealt with the accident.

“[She’s] already 57! They didn’t even express any concern when she fell. These people don’t have hearts,” said one netizen.

Another fan demanded for an apology from the production team.
