Jiamin’s groom, Zhou Liyuan, comes from an equally affluent family. The 28-year-old is the second son of the family behind Chinese clothing company, Septwolves. There are thousands of Septwolves outlets in China, and the company is reportedly worth S$750mil.
The newlyweds are childhood sweethearts. They were classmates in junior high, and are said to be each others’ first loves. They got engaged in 2022, with Jiamin’s family receiving S$336mil in dowry.
Nicholas attended the ceremony in casual wear, sporting a grey hoodie, baggy pants and a cap. Although he was praised by some for “not stealing the limelight”, others believed he should have dressed more formally.
Casino King Stanley Ho’s son Mario Ho, his wife Ming Xi, and his sister, Alice Ho, were also at the wedding.
