Queen Saleha of Brunei, 78, the mother of Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, was recently spotted shopping in London.
She was seen on Mayfair and Bond Street and visiting the luxury boutiques there.
A short clip of Her Majesty’s jaunt in London was posted online, and she was seen entering a brown Rolls Royce with her companions after shopping.
She was also accompanied by security detail who followed her vehicle in a Mercedes sedan and an SUV.
The Queen Consort was said to have been in London on Boxing Day — not that she needs to look out for discounts.
Queen Saleha, who is the first wife of one of the richest men in the world, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, is no stranger to life’s finest things and is known to have a massive collection of the luxury bags, most of which are adorned in gold and diamond.
Some netizens noted that Queen Saleha was dressed simply during the trip and didn’t look like a royal figure. A few also asked if she’s the ever-so-famous Prince Abdul Mateen’s mother — she’s not. The handsome prince is the son of The Sultan’s former second wife, Mariam Aziz.
Others were also surprised to see Her Majesty out and about shopping in person instead of having the merch brought to her. Perhaps, she really just enjoys some window shopping every now and then too?
