Roger Kwok Says He Needs To Work More To Afford The Hefty Fees For Son’s Music College In England

It’s heartwarming to see our favourite celebs support the dreams of their kids. We mean, if they have the budget for it, why not, right?

Hong Kong actor Roger Kwok, 59, is a good example of a supportive dad.

The TVB star was in England with his 15-year-old son, Brad, for the latter’s entrance interview into his dream music college.

Brad will start his first term after summer break next year.

According to Roger, Brad is good at playing the French horn, and aspires to be a musician. Though he will miss his son, he is supportive of Brad’s decision to pursue his studies overseas.

“It’s rare that he knows what he wants to do and has such a clear goal at 15, 16 years old. He chose this school himself. It’s difficult to get into, and their acceptance rates aren’t high,” said the proud dad.

He believes his son has inherited his gift for the arts, and unlike many other parents, is not worried that Brad will have trouble making a good living with a degree in music.

“I don’t think about these things as it’s not something I can decide on. It’s his choice. I’m in showbiz myself, and I understand that fame is not guaranteed, so I’m open-minded when it comes to it.”
