Statue Of Chinese Goddess Seen On Flight, Even Has Her Own Boarding Pass

You never know who you’ll end up sitting next to on a flight, but we’re sure no one will expect to get seated next to a statue of deity.

In a video posted on Xiaohongshu, a handler is seen checking in a statue of Chinese deity Mazu — not as checked luggage, but for her very own seat on Xiamen Airlines.

The popular Goddess of the Sea even received her own boarding pass, complete with her real name, Lin Mo.

For context, Mazu is based on a Chinese woman named Lin Mo who lived in the 10th century in Fujian’s Putian County.

The statue of Mazu was carried onto the plane by eight handlers and placed in her assigned seat.

This isn’t the first time the statue has travelled overseas.

In 2017, Mazu went on a tour of Southeast Asia and even made a pitstop in Singapore.

Netizens, likely followers of the goddess, expressed their reverence for the sight with one commenting, “The goddess is also blessing travelers in the air.”

Another hilariously asked, “Does Mazu have to go through security screening like the rest of us?”

Now, would anyone dare pat down the deity?
