Our local songbird Stefanie Sun just celebrated her 46th birthday yesterday (Jul 23).
Yet while it was supposed to be a joyous occasion, Stef admitted that life hasn’t exactly been that great lately.
The singer shared on her socials that she was ill for the past month, ever since she performed at a musical festival in Fuzhou, China.
In a video she shared, Stef recalled she was in the middle of her performance when she suddenly broke into a cold sweat.
After returning to the hotel, she started shivering for almost two hours, which worried her team.
It was the first time Stef had experienced trembling like that, and she came down with a flu ever since that day.
Thankfully, the singer, who had to visit the A&E at some point, assured fans that she’s now fully recovered after taking medication from a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and a Western medicine doctor.
Stef, however, feels dejected that rehearsals for her upcoming concerts in 2025, will have to be delayed.
“My mood is a bit down. It feels like all my hard work from before had turned to dust,” she sighed.
That said, Stef acknowledged that these ups and downs are just a natural part of in life. She also admitted that with age, her body hasn’t been feeling the same as before.
The singer has also been actively trying to stay off her phone, which is why she’s been MIA on social media.
Lastly, she thanked everyone for their birthday wishes and for remembering her birthday.
