It looks like Singapore’s decision to have American superstar Taylor Swift perform six exclusive shows of her Eras Tour is still paying off.
Days after the singer performed her last show here, her football star boyfriend Travis Kelce reflected on his trip here last week on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.
Travis was in Singapore between March 7 and 9 to catch Taylor’s last two shows here.
In a nearly 10-minute-long segment on his stay in Singapore, the Kansas City Chiefs player described the little red dot as “high-tech” and “very well planned out from an architectural standpoint:
“I was amazed by the lighting on the street. I don’t know, everything over there just seems so nice,” he says.
“Obviously, you’ve got the streetlights, but like the building lights, the bus stops. The lighting over there is just very nice,” he remarked.
“You just don’t think about, like, we don’t have that in America,” he elaborated.
While he was here, Travis also had a chance to visit Gardens by the Bay.
“I got to check out the world’s largest greenhouse. How about that?” he says.
“I’m a big plant guy, love seeing flowers and trees. They also had the world’s biggest waterfall in a greenhouse,” he added in what appears to be a reference to the Cloud Forest attraction.
“It was awesome, man. The way the whole thing was laid out. It was a very controlled space, and everything was blooming at the same time. It was so unique and nice.
Jason also questioned if the “futuristic” pictures of Singapore were accurate to which the latter replied that it was “as advertised”.
Travis also marvelled about the Marina Bay Sands calling the Sands Skypark Infinity Pool the “coolest shit to look at”.
Taylor and Travis were spotted at one of MBS’s upscale restaurants, Koma on March 8 after the former’s fifth concert here.
At this point, we think all of this is pure gold for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
Travis also made mention that our island nation was “hot as f**k” as it was the “middle of summer”.
Was it that warm, though?
We wonder what Travis would say if he knew the weather is largely consistent here all year round.
Maybe try coming back between July and August?
When asked to make a choice between Sydney and Singapore – two cities he visited with Taylor, Travis diplomatically replied, “I feel I got to see a little bit more of Singapore, so I’m going to say Singapore was a little more interesting for sure.
To be fair, Travis also said he was only in Australia for a couple of hours.
