They say a true performer will not let any hiccups disrupt their show, and a Chinese boy proved just that in a now-viral video.
Students were seen lined up in formation in an indoor sports hall performing synchronised basketball tricks.
They executed under-leg dribbles while constantly rotating their bodies to face the audience, who filled up all four sides of the stadium.
However, midway through the performance, a basketball was seen rolling across the court.
Turns out, a boy who was in the front row had lost control of his ball.
What truly caught the audience’s attention, though, was how calmly the boy handled the mishap.
Rather than panicking or breaking character, he simply continued his routine as if nothing had happened — mimicking dribbling motions with an invisible ball.
His movements were so natural that, unless pointed out, one might not even notice he was dribbling ‘air.’
Netizens were both amused and impressed by how unfazed the boy was, with some quipping that he’s “too chill”.
“It’s okay if the ball isn’t there as long as the moves are right,” joked one netizen.
Another commented: “If I were [the performer] behind him, I would have laughed”.
Guess what? The boy’s friend standing behind him was just as poker-faced as he was.
