This Indonesian Helper In SG Has Such Style, People Often Mistake Her Employer For The Maid

You know it’s time to change up your style when you’re out with your domestic helper and people think you’re the maid.

Recently, a Mainland Chinese single mum living in Singapore, who goes by Mu Yun Jia on Xiaohongshu, shared a video of her Indonesian domestic helper, Elsa.

In the video, Elsa sported a cool quiff haircut and wore a baggy khaki T-shirt with grey berms.

“I don’t know how many helpers in Singapore like to wear androgynous outfits but the one working in my house always dresses up like she’s going match-making whenever we head out,” quipped Yun Jia in her caption.

Yun Jia lamented that people have mistaken her as the helper instead of Elsa on multiple occasions, and so she now makes it a point to doll herself up whenever they go out together.

In a separate video, Yun Jia also shared that one of her friends even thought Elsa was her boyfriend on one outing to the airport.

Yun Jia went on to say that while Elsa “has a face that looks like she doesn’t do housework”, she’s actually very competent when it comes to her chores.

“From doing the laundry, cooking, cleaning the house to sending the kids to school, she does everything very well,” she said.

Netizens have since flocked to the comments to shower Elsa with compliments too.

“I only followed you because of [Elsa]. I’m so sorry, I hope you don’t mind,” said one such netizen.

Given how it kind of seems like Yun Jia is flexing Elsa, we don’t think she would mind one bit.
