Tin Pei Ling Leaves DCS Card Centre After 9 Months & Joins Fintech Company MetaComp
Tin Pei Ling has joined the fintech company MetaComp as its co-president, focusing on strategic partnerships and corporate development. This follows her departure from the payment firm DCS Card Centre after nine months.
MetaComp, a company offering digital payment token services and cross-border money transfers, made the announcement. MetaComp is part of MVGXH, a licensed Singaporean fintech group with subsidiaries in the digital and green sectors.
On LinkedIn, Tin expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “Sustainability is a critical global imperative, and this exciting opportunity allows me to expand my work into green fintech.
“I join MetaComp after bidding farewell to the lovely people at DCS Card Centre. It’s been very rewarding to have learnt so much about the card industry from veterans and to be part of a company that is unafraid of transformation and innovation.”
Why the Public Interest in Tin’s Career
Why is there such interest in Tin’s LinkedIn profile?
The attention began in January 2023 when she was appointed as Grab’s director of public affairs and policy. At the time, Tin assured the public that her role as a parliamentarian would be distinct from her role at Grab, promising transparency about which capacity she was representing at any given time.
Nine days later, Tin was moved to a corporate development role within Grab. This change came after significant public discourse over her initial appointment.
Grab clarified that moving forward, she would not represent the company in public policy discussions with the government.
Tin then joined DCS Card Centre in October 2023.
