Chinese actor Wang Yibo, who was recently appointed as Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe’s newest global brand ambassador, turned heads – and not in a good way – when he showed up in a questionable look at the brand’s show at Paris Fashion Week last Saturday (Jun 22).

The 26-year-old, who found fame in The Untamed and Legend of Fei, donned a black jacket layered over what looks like a denim shirt that sprouted bright pink, orange, yellow and blue pieces of fabric.

According to media reports, the shirt is a one-of-a-kind piece from Loewe’s Autumn/Winter 2024 collection and will not be produced or sold.

Probably for the best?

While some fans praised the avant garde ensemble, calling it “super fashionable”, many were tickled by it.

The colorful top was compared to a variety of things including a feather duster, toilet-cleaning brush, and even the feathered shuttlecock used in capteh.

One user remarked: “Isn’t that the feather duster my parents used to discipline me as a kid?”

We doubt that was Yibo stylist’s or Loewe designer, Jonathan Anderson’s vision though.

There were also netizens who speculated that Yibo might not have been a fan of the outfit, pointing out that he shared a black-and-white photo of it on Instagram instead.

The actor also appeared unhappy at the event, sporting a sour expression.

“With that outfit, it’s no wonder he didn’t smile,” commented one user.
