This year, Duddell’s is presenting a Chinese New Year feast that creatively reinterprets traditional flavours with the season’s finest ingredients.

If you’re unsure where to begin with the extensive à la carte offerings, opt for the eight-course Chinese New Year set menu (HK$1,588 per person). Notable highlights include double-boiled chicken soup, braised South African abalone four-heads, fried rice with scallop and shrimp, and sweetened red bean cream dumplings.

The highlight, though, is the premium poon choi (HK$3,888 for six persons), a traditional dish that symbolises prosperity, health and happiness. Served in a large pot, it features layers of premium ingredients like braised South African abalone five-heads, pork belly with cuttlefish and radish, and sea cucumber with shiitake mushrooms. Perfect for sharing, it’s an ideal centrepiece for family gatherings.

When: January 20-February 12 for à la carte and set menu, January 25-28 and 30-31 for poon choi

2. Fortnum & Mason
