The 33-year-old was seen boarding a flight to Macau when a netizen snagged a video of him needing two bodyguards to enter the plane.
The Sunshine by My Side actor had problems entering the plane due to fans blocking the entrance.
Xiao Zhan could only slide in via a small opening provided by his bodyguards as they pushed two female fans aside.
Staffers were also seen trying to pull the curtains in a bid to give him some privacy.
However, fans were still seen trying their best to get closer to Xiao Zhan, with one almost at arm’s distance from the actor.
Only a bodyguard bellowing and pushing the camera away did the chaos seem to finally end.
Is content for social media so important for these fans?
This isn’t the first time mayhem has ensued when Xiao Zhan travels and it is quite sad to see him being mobbed everywhere he goes.
However, it seems many netizens were less empathetic and took to the comments asking why he puts up the media circus each time he goes to the airport.
“You are one of the most popular actors in China now. Why didn’t you choose to fly first class, or even take a private jet?”
They do have a fair point there.
